You might want to consult ECA Q&A Index.

Hello Orlese W.

When thinking about putting in an ECA - you are going to have to look at it as an investment.

Think for a minute, if you put in a store front in your town it is going to cost you to have a building, services, and then products.

At least with a TripleClicks ECA store you only need the products or a good drop shipper. You can open and get started for very little money - your license and maybe a drop shipper fee - and shipping unless you get a drop shipper who will send products with free shipping.

You need to do a lot of research before opening and applying for an ECA - Make sure you have "learned" enough before making the decision to open an ECA. While you are learning - work on building your team of down-line affiliates.

To Your Success.

As a TripleClicks ECA applicant, you MUST purchase a New Seller License if:

1. You are unable to satisfy standard ECA application requirements.

OR...

2. You are not currently selling products elsewhere online (i.e, no verifiable or valid, established Website selling presence).

OR...

3. You are not currently selling products from a verifiable physical retail store location.

Once you have purchased the New Seller License, you may then apply for an ECA account at www.tripleclicks.com/ECA/ECAApplication.php.

NOTE: The license's one-time $40 fee is non-refundable.

1. Please ensure you meet with the above requirement as other wise you need to spend $40
2. This is the starting point.
3. Once approved, are you in a position to meet the requirements of Buyers in terms of:

a) Quality Products
b) Affordable Prices
c) Quick or In Time or at least on Time Delivery?
d) Can you ensure Warranty/Guarantee Clauses in time?
e) Will you ensure adequate stocks?

4. In business, let us understand, without a sound financial back up it will be difficult to sustain!

To setting up an ECA Store, you must fulfill all the requirements asking in the ECA application, here: ECA Application

You need to upload two Verification Documents (mandatory) for the approval of your application:
1. A copy of applicant's valid driver's license (or other photo ID, passport, etc.)
2. A copy of a phone bill, other utility bill, or a bank statement displaying applicant's name/or the business name and address

Besides this, upload an image that represents the type of product(s) you plan to sell as required in the application. There is no cost involved in this stage.

If you do not currently have a separate Website where you sell your product(s) or you do not have a physical (brick and mortar) retail store, you will need to purchase a New TripleClicks Seller License. The New seller license costs US Dollar 40.00 (one time, non-refundable). This is the first hurdle to start your own ECA. In this stage, you need only US $40.00, if you cannot meet the application requirements as mentioned above.

After the approval of your ECA store, the next stage is finding suitable products and listing it on your ECA TConnect page.
The main point to consider is the regular availability of the products. If it is not available regularly, you must stock sufficient quantity of the products which require financial investment. Moreover, if the product did not sell within a reasonable time you may suffer financially by stocking non-salable item as dead stock!

To reduce the investment to a bare minimum you can plan a store with some products already accessible to you with a minimum cost and effort. Or list products which are available regularly with a stable price-tag. This will reduce the cost for stocking the products. In this way, you can buy sufficient quantity after you get a confirmed order. The plus points are: no dead-stocks, no advance investments and no trial & error. If the listed products does not attract customers, you have nothing to loose! You can change the product line at any moment without worrying about loss, dead stock and further investment.

If you plan a wide variety of products in your store, another ideal way is to get tie-up with some good Dropship suppliers. In Drop shipping, the retailer list products of the drop-shipper with his own retail price. He does not keep goods in stock, but instead transfers customer orders with payment and shipment details to the drop-shipper (either the manufacturer or a wholesaler), who then ships the goods directly to the customer.

To find one or more reliable drop shippers, search the term on Google. You need to research a lot to find a good niche and a reliable supplier with a good track record. In this model, your main considerations should be, the credibility and track record of the drop-shipper, the product range and its quality, the price they charge for the products and its shipment (is it reasonable?).

Another important point for consideration: should be select a blind drop-shipper. Otherwise, your customer may know the source of your product.

The advantage of the drop-ship method is that you need not invest a lot of amount; you only spent the cost and shipping charge of the confirmed orders!

I agree with the blind drop ship. I recently purchased an item and received it in a famously known website box and found out since we had a yearly prime membership, I could've gotten it a lot cheaper for free shipping.

I don't mind transfer buying even if an item might be more expensive in order to support and invest in our store TripleClicks, but not only did this product come in the logo marked box, there was a .card in it that said "gift for you" with a Q.R. scanner.

When I scanned it with my smartphone, it took me directly to that website and showed me my prime membership price for future re-orders lol.

Like I said, I definitely don't mind supporting our store and encourage transfer buying as self-supporting myself, affiliates, etc., -but a person not dedicated to TripleClicks/SFI might have been put off by that.
